For the record: Kashton

16 months old
has a major aversion to coming down the stairs but can finally do it (if he has to)
is a pretty tiny kid
is on the higher side of average in speech for his age I think (more than Malachi, less than Thyra?) Off the top of my head I can think of:
up
down
mama/mom
dada/dad
nigh nigh
TAY TOO (which is the cutest baby language version EVER of "Thank You")
pup-pups
hi
bye
nana
apple
shoes
all done
teeth
tickle tickle
no
moo
meow
book-ah
Bolt-ah (for Disney character)
more (but usually in sign language)
soft
cup
car
co-dee-dee (for coffee.  kinda weird.)
Mmm-ma (grandma)
Pa (grandpa)
pone (phone)
pun (fun/funny)
ee-voo (love you)
cook-cook (cookie)
cracker
uhoh
ball
mik (milk)
ahm-in (arm in, when getting dressed)
round and round (from wheels on the bus)
and his new favorite (and ours): Dump it Out.

does a cute piggy face
can point to head/hair/eyes/nose/teeth/mouth etc.
can work the iphone better than my mom could
is still nursing
is way more of a goofball than I expected he would be
absolutely hates anything on his feet like socks or sleepers (kinda like his mom)
gives great kisses upon request
is totally obsessed with putting non-food items in his mouth, like paper/fireplace soot etc. (Pica? Low iron?)
is a total cling-on mama's boy
but makes up for it by being extremely cuddly
exhibits some classic "youngest child" behaviours.  Oops.
has never gotten into bottles or soothers
has 10 teeth, including 2 upper molars and is presently in the process of teething the bottom ones and his lower eye-teeth.
has a pretty sophisticated dance shimmy and will get his groove on to just about anything... including just saying something rhythmically
goes "crazy" on command (which involves a lot of shaking his head back and forth really fast)
what does Lightning McQueen say? "Ka-dow".
instead of "yes" nods his head once and makes a growly little "ohwah"
gets extremely excited by Yo Gabba Gabba's Party in my Tummy and will ask for "gabba gabba".
